In Parenthesis 21, the Journal of the Fine Press Book Association, Simon Brett has written an insightful article on the work of two Massachusetts wood engravers entitled Abigail Rorer & Barry Moser.

Abigail Rorer will be exhibiting at the Oxford Fine Press Book Fair in Oxford, England on November 5–6, 2011.

Abigail Rorer’s engravings are part of an invitational traveling exhibit entitled Endgrained, Endgrained: Evidence of Contemporary Wood Engraving, an invitational exhibition featuring sixty prints by twenty relief engraving artists from the United States, Canada and England. The largest single, independent exhibit of wood engravings outside the United Kingdom highlights some of the masters of contemporary

A solo-exhibition at The Concord Free Public Library in Concord, MA, will feature wood engravings, relief engravings, broadsides, a few etchings, and books produced by Abigail Rorer and The Lone Oak Press. The show will be open April 2nd through the 28th, with an opening reception on Saturday, April 2, 2011, from 2–4 pm.

The Bright Hill Literary Center in Treadwell, NY, will be hosting the Invitational Book Arts Exhibition from October 3–29, 2010. Two books from The Lone Oak Press, Christmas Trees and The Matriarch of the Forest, will be included in the exhibit.

A previous publication featured an engraving of Doris Lessing, and a future Nobel lecture publication will feature her portrait of Toni Morrison.
