Exhibition

A solo-exhibition at The Concord Free Public Library in Concord, MA, will feature wood engravings, relief engravings, broadsides, a few etchings, and books produced by Abigail Rorer and The Lone Oak Press. The show will be open April 2nd through the 28th, with an opening reception on Saturday, April 2, 2011, from 2–4 pm.

The Bright Hill Literary Center in Treadwell, NY, will be hosting the Invitational Book Arts Exhibition from October 3–29, 2010. Two books from The Lone Oak Press, Christmas Trees and The Matriarch of the Forest, will be included in the exhibit.

New Prints!

See Abigail’s newest prints here. She recently completed a portrait of Gunter Grass for the series of Nobel Prize for Literature lectures published by Oak Tree Fine Press. A previous publication featured an engraving of Doris Lessing, and a future Nobel lecture publication will feature her portrait of Toni Morrison.

New Book in Progress

Reginald Farrer was a botanist with strong opinions about the plants he liked and disliked. A previous book from The Lone Oak Press, Mimpish Squinnies, winner of the Gregynog Prize, focused on 14 plants that Farrer deemed worthless. This book will focus on one of the plants that he loved, Eritrichium nanum, the “King of the Alps”. It
